Overview: From Adobe's web site you will select and download the Adobe
Acrobat Reader for mobile devices to your desktop computer, install it
there, and then synchronize with your PDA to transfer the reader to that
device. A version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader for mobile devices remains
on your desktop computer as well, to facilitate transfer of the PDF files
themselves.
Step One: Download and install Adobe Reader software.
- This page will remain open for reference as you go through the download.
- Go to adobe.com
and download the Adobe Reader version appropriate for the OS of your PDA.
- Follow the downloading instructions, choosing English, the correct platform
and your connection speed
- When the download is finished, double-click or run the downloaded file on your
computer to install the Adobe software. Following the on screen instructions you will be
prompted when to sync your device with your desktop. This synchronization transfers
the Adobe Reader on your PDA.
Step Two: Transfer PDF files from your computer to your PDA.
- Save PDF files to your desktop computer, noting where you have saved them.
- Queue the files for synchronizing by either dragging and dropping them onto
the shortcut for the Adobe Acrobat Reader for mobile devices or by
opening Adobe Acrobat Reader for mobile devices from your program
menu and then dragging and dropping the PDF file into the window provided.
- The next time you synchronize, the file will be transferred.
Step Three: Open the files on your PDA.
- Open Acrobat Reader on your PDA and select the file desired from the Reader's
menu.
