| Specimen Requirement |
| 1 mL EDTA or heparinized plasma. Use EDTA or heparinized plasma only! Collect 2 mL of blood in lavender or green top venipuncture tube. Use minimum tourniquet time. Mix gently by inversion. Note: Catecholamines are not stable. Centrifuge immediately after collection. Do not leave blood at ambient temperature. Separate and freeze plasma immediately. Store and ship frozen in plastic vial. Ship samples for analysis within 2 weeks. |
